Does anyone know why Bitchat uses bluetooth instead of WiFi (802.11s)? The latter has much greater range.

Thanks, I see calle's response that wifi doesn't support meshing (though for some reason I can't respond to it). Which surprises me because I thought it was possible as I remember the OLPC project having it. I'll have to read up on this more.
