Another day in the office, am I right?! ✨

As a restaurant manager at Nando’s, I developed leather-thick skin from years of dealing with dangerous, aggressive, and abusive situations. I faced every imaginable scenario - both operationally and service-wise - and moved on to the next one the following day, happily and resiliently.

Now, as an HR Manager (and the only HR member) in a much smaller restaurant group, within just months I’m growing a different kind of leather skin. One built for handling manipulative leadership, irrefutable employee complaints I’ve fought for (and not always won) and some of the most unimaginable employee relations cases I never thought I’d encounter - like the one I just dealt with between yesterday and today.
