I think the reason my marriage didn’t work out was because my plans and my goals and my dreams and all that stuff was all about bitcoin

Then if I wasn’t doing bitcoin stuff it was Nostr ….

These goals and dreams and plans didn’t match up or align with my wife’s….

I care about bitcoin 100 percent

My wife cared about it like 0 percent

So the most important things in my life… wasn’t important to her

And the things she cared about…. I wasn’t interested. She wanted to spend

And I wanted to save

She wouldn’t do meetups

She wouldn’t watch my podcast

If I would have never gotten into bitcoin. Our marriage may have worked out.

Or if I could have gotten her on board

On the advice of a trusted friend I read a book called : 3% man by Corey Wayne It completely changed my outlook on dating / relationships. ( he’s got a YouTube channel and all that too)

I did find someone. It is working out (4 years along now ) We disagree on many things but bitcoin isn’t one of them.

While it took time for her to understand and appreciate my bitcoin zeal, she’s there now.

Life is too short, bro. You gotta look after you, and focus on your goals ... and then your kids, fam and community.

I learned the hard way too once you become super passionate about something, you tend to overshare with your wife it has the opposite effect on them.

It’s better to talk with friends about these things and let her witness the changes in you. If you maintain frame she will naturally align with your thinking.

But in the end it sounds like bitcoin wasn’t the reason..sorry to hear that brother

Been married for almost 29 years. Last 5 have been very interesting...for many of the reasons you speak of. This is a real issue.

I was in the shit house for much of 2022 and 2023.

I have some credibility now on the btc subject.

My plan is to do more things she wants to do (walks , church, not always talking btc) and slowly getting her more involved. Im playing into her interests and slowly spoon feed btc education. I learned she really likes Jack Mallers. His recent appearance on WBD in his empty womans closet and the symbolism of time preference really hit home for her.

Not easy.
