Our rugs almost look the same

Gorgeous. I think yours is higher quality, judging by the tighter weave. Mine is a practice one, I believe. I think they call it knots per inch or something. What is it nostr:npub1rt65j4vnd05qf72szpj8afdd5hrkylka7pe55lup8waquv0wm9sqjj0y9g ?
This is not handwoven rug. It is a kind of print rug and very cheap.
This one is actual rug.
Yes mine is quite cheap indeed if I remember correctly
I am such a fan of rugs, especially orientals. I don’t know anything much except I like a lot of color. Not a wild fan of Oushak as all my friends.
So beautiful. These two are the some of my favorite ones we have. Very different weaves. One is silk that was on a flooded floor, so all the fluffy sheen went south. My MIL gave it to me, thinking no one would want it in its de-valued state. I love the Chinese key and birds. I don’t care if it is not valued by the commercial world.

Nice rugs.
Geographically, oriental rugs are made in an area referred to as the “Rug Belt”, which stretches from Morocco across North Africa, the Middle East, and into Central Asia and northern India. It includes countries such as northern China, Tibet, Turkey, Iran, the Maghreb in the west, the Caucasus in the north, and India and Pakistan in the south. Oriental rugs were also made in South Africa from the early 1980s to mid 1990s in the village of Ilinge close to Queenstown. And so Iran because of its historical background have important place.
Don't mind me... just nosing around and learning for you guys...
