Yeah, what I mean is we tend to have idealized versions of ourselves/our lives in our minds, as well as the "grass is always greener on the other side" bias, which in turn leads to conditional thinking "IF this happens THEN I'll finally feel good about myself" - but the key is to learn to love the process, right? So you have to consider the current moment the best possible version of that current moment, as well as a necessary stepping stone for whatever comes next. That's basically my thought process behind that.

Ah ok, I see what you mean. Below is something not exactly what you're talking about but it's related, as it puts emphasis on loving yourself or the process instead of, as you say, an idealised version.

I wrote this thing after long analysis of my last relationship and having delved into female nature. I used to blame everything on her but I realised I was the one that was ignorant.

Hey, finally got around to reading the note you quoted. Thanks for sharing, well said. A man has to sculpt himself, the woman can only become an addition to that from one perspective; or the reason for that from another. But never the guide to it. It's the man that leads, it's the man that carves the path.

Hey, thanks for reading! Agreed.

Any idea when the next art submission contest will be btw?

Don't have an ETA yet... am also thinking of trying to switch up the format a tiny bit. Could be that the next one will be a music only remix competition... but we'll see. I'm still mulling over it and also trying to figure out what exactly are the types of media people and companies need and want to use - or ideally, pay for (even if they don't have to)

Remix? I'd sit that one out tbh. Original is always better :)
