by 2030 all country has to issue bio-metric ones - these stuff goes with time / age - just we not use morse code telegram anymore since all get app+smartphone which gov can track
I agree, from the perspective of Germany, where ID has always been mandatory. But some countries have never had mandatory IDs. Some Americans have no IDs, at all. Not even birth certificates.

It does make sense. Build up the narrative around immigration and the "little boats"; employ the useful idiots like Tommy Robinson to stir up "The Right"; then come in with "The Solution". They don't care about immigration one way or another.
The dark part is, some people (sheep) will accept the ID's as a solution for illegal immigration. Others will accept it because the useful idiots on the right are now saying they don't want it. Others will accept it because the useful idiots on the left also say they don't want it. They are aiming to win over the silent majority in the middle who are afraid of anything other than the status quo.
The mainstream media are already pushing all the government talking points, such as it being a "sensible" solution for immigration and "won't be used for other things".

Very true, its disturbing how so few see it. My real world life consists of associating with people in the silent middle. Unsurprisingly they are all silent. Assuming, that if they stay silent, everything will be ok.
