Every wallet should have UTXO management, not having it isn't "user friendly" it's plain stupid, if you are going to use #bitcoin understanding basic UTXO management is a requirement.

I don't agree with making everything stupid proof, it just encourages stupidity.

Nunchuk doesn't have a specific utxo manager, but it does have a "roll over" function that transfers all coins from one wallet to another. And in the process, it consolidates all the coins into a single coin in the new wallet.

Bad for privacy

Why?

Any chain observer can see that all previously separated utxos belong to one entity now

But isn't that the case for every consolidation?

Yes. This is the case for every consolidation

So, would you recommend not consolidating utxo's? Or is there a point when doing so is the best course of action? I generally consolidate about every 6mo just to keep things tidy. I've never really considered the privacy implications of doing so.

It is a trade off you have to consider when consolidating. Sometimes it's surley better before you end up with to small utxos you can't move in the future when fees could be much higher.

You can make it stupid proof AND have UTXO management under an advanced toggle.

That's fair but I would disagree with it being considered an "advanced feature" it's just a basic thing you need to understand in my view but as long as theres an option for it that's fine.

I agree, but my point is to make it easy for people to learn how to manage their UTXOs while also making it easy to let it work automatically.
