I heard what you said about Liquid on Frog Talk. I’m personally going to use all the tools at my disposal, and thankfully Liquid is one of them.
Liquid -> Lightning via Bolt is an interesting concept...

And they say it will be possible with the Aqua Wallet in the naar future. But haven’t heard about a release date yet.
