Extreme meritocracy is the only way.
If it produces outsized racial disparities per category then who cares.
The only thing anybody actually cares about is having the best person perform the task.

And the people who've obtained their station through no merit of their own fear this transition (which is pretty much the entire elite class)
That is totally fair, as long as you don't have artificial selection factors.
So if everyone is running on the same footing, I 100% agree.
I even think that anonymous applications should be almost the default, if not mandatory for government agencies.
