really curious abt the solution to do- i wander if there’s a way to connect your default wallet (like zeus) directly into damus (cool), or if you need to do lndconnect or something directly within damus (don’t like)

i don’t know either but i think if we want to completely replace likes and maintain similar engagement levels then we need one tap zaps.
zion (bad) has this with an in-app lightning wallet and it feels kinda magical tbh.
yea looks like the best method atm, i’d rather there be a way to incorporate a trusted wallet- makes me worried abt giving out my node macaroons to a bunch of potentially half-assed wallets

Yes. Just zapped someone and it was about 8 taps and 15 seconds. After which i was out of damus and had to navigate back by myself

Default to BlueWallet, go on a #zapathon and full send any LN sats till they sunset their custodial LN service on April 30th #[2]
If it isn’t worth the extra clicks then it probably isn’t worth the sats either
i already bounced out of bluewallet a few weeks ago! yeah i guess i just mean if we want this to be a new standard that more than a couple hundred fiends use consistently it really needs a first party solution so it feels as mindless and frictionless as legacy likes. sometimes i just want to ack a reply but then i talk myself out of it knowing i’m gonna have to go do a whole flow and confirm a financial decision. would do it 10x more if i could blast over 10 sats with one tap and never leave the app.
Set the default zap amount as your ack amount but then do custom zaps for your “thank yous” based on how much thanks you’re giving
