Does a relay know what client was used to push a note?
Discussion
In general, no. How would it? Unless different clients have quirks that leave a trace in the events or in the protocol... I'm sure there are such quirks. But has anybody catalogued them and coded that into a relay? And the quirks probably aren't enough to distinguish all the clients.
If you inspect the note I just replied to you with, you'll see I add the tag ["client":"gossip"]. I do that because I want to be contacted if gossip turns out to be misbehaving. Most gossip users probably have that setting disabled.
I think coracle does something similar too...
Ok. Makes sense. Unless the client pushes that information there is no way of knowing. Great that you thought about tagging posts with that info to help with troubleshooting development.
can you raise save button in settings?
I think settings will get a reorg/restyle pretty soon as I need to add more and I think it should be multiple pages now.
