I think GE and Maytag still make the old fashioned kind but you can still sometimes find 20-30 year old machines at appliance shops that are mom & pop or refurbished at repair shops.

I'm assuming that the laundromat-style machines like Speed Queen https://speedqueen.com/products/all-products/ are probably the best.
I've had nothing but bad experiences with all the "smart" and "efficient" ones. I want a bulletproof, stupid tank. I'm replacing a washer from the 90s (maybe 80s even...) which is great but has finally reached the end of its life. (it's also pretty fucking aggressive. likes to rip collars and sleeves off shirts lol)
