The degree to which communism has infected the US is far worse than most realize. Bread lines are hidden by EBT & SNAP. Nationalization is hidden by "regulation," licensing, subsidies, govt contracts, bailouts, & govt helping cronies buy up their competition. Major corporations are basically just income tax collecting arms of the govt. Either directly or through contracts, loans, subsidies, school systems, etc, the govt probably employs something like half of the economy.
