I keep seeing this very strange sentiment:

The state is evil. It will use any means of force necessary to get what it wants, including torture and murder. However, I'm ok KYCing my bitcoin so the state can know exactly how much ₿ I hold and what addresses I hold it in.

They confused but comply is the keyword here

Agreed. These people are compliant by nature. Their bitcoin will be ripped from them.

the larp is strong in maxi land

I consider myself a maxi in the sense that I think everything else is a shitcoin. But voluntarily giving up information on my stack to state entities is insane.

bitcoin is but one tool of freedom &

ngu thesis pontificates on mass adoption as ethics for bag pump while disregarding the core value of p2p decentralized transactions

being able to transact in a censorship resistant manner is more important than the value you hold

most miss you can simply acquire the amount of sats needed to make a purchase and spend it all if you have the hardware/software infrastructure built out

btc maxis have lost the cypherpunk spirit.

its with monero now.

which is not a shitcoin by any sane metric.

can you please list your current hardware/ software stack for monero use

i run nodes on an old laptop and VPS

and have desktop and mobile wallets

just looking for software recommendations

It's the only other coin I hold.

how many MEME #bitcoin posters here will NOT comply you think when NEW LAW comes into effect? saying is easy doing is hard

They are compliant already. That's why they KYC.

🤣🤣🤣

I like whirlpool for my kyc btc, but wish there was just an easy/cheap btc to monero to btc swap I could do for privacy.
