I don't like the term "progressive" because it naturally implies progress, which should be good.

But much of what "progressives" promote seems at best to be change for the sake of change, and often not for the better. And at worst it manifests as raw hostility to tradition and antiquity, which, far from being aged and decripit, often convey great value and profound learning from past generations.
