I mean, maybe naming is a regional thing, but when a cut looks like that and I've gotten it at the store before, it's always referred to as cube steak and it just means that it's really tender and I usually use it for chicken fried steak.

Mechanically tenderized is probably technically accurate. 😅

That's just what it said on the package, but cube steak definitely fits.

I think I've got another package that I can try to batter and deep fry. These got pan fried with salt and pepper, and they turned out pretty good.
