don't remember the nreq thing. i use kind 777 in grimoire for reusable REQs aka spells. nak also supports them. should be pretty straightforward to implement, i'm drafting a spec here https://github.com/purrgrammer/grimoire/pull/45/files

perhaps kind 10777 could be used as a list of favorite spells (yours or from others), haven't thought much about this yet.

I've done something similar with the book macro, allowing you to launch a search within a publication and display the result, within the same note, my typing in some simple text.
