Thinking about it a bit: my favorite teachers were those that took a direct approach with me on why I was being taught these things. I tended not to like those that took a managed approach to my learning, almost like keeping me out of the loop of my own education. It’s why I generally can’t stand MBA-speak in the real world. I can usually sniff out an agenda immediately with those people.
