What functionality do you wish you had?
First day without my iPhone. Not gonna lie, between work, everyone in the family on iOS and being productive for the nostr:npub19mduaf5569jx9xz555jcx3v06mvktvtpu0zgk47n4lcpjsz43zzqhj6vzk this #GrapheneOS experiment is hard AF. Gonna stick it out for another week though. Send encouragement and tips for daily use 🙏

A functional calendar to start. Going to have to figure out a way to get access to all of our family calendars (iCal)
The camera is pretty bad. Took some incredible pictures of my kids with iPhone 15 and they easily synced via iCloud. This isn't the worst thing in the world because it's a good excuse to take out my DSLR and take proper photos.
Maps, and some other things I can't think of right now. But those were the big ones I realized today.
Also found it impossible to completely get off Google services cold turkey. Still using Gmail.
It is a step by step proces, I did it that way. OSMand, magic earth or organic maps are good substitutes for maps. It is the addiction of everything made easy and synching between all phones/computers. I manually back-up everyhrin, but there are programs like synchting that you van use.
You can install google camera for good pictures.
Maybe try web based calendar if your calendar provider has one?
Organic Maps is excellent and on F-Droid
OSMand is also good but has some “anti-features” allegedly
I haven’t figured out a great photo management system yet
Davx5 to sync online calendars with your phone, and Etar for viewing calendar and manage events. Both are on FDroid IIRC.
Yeah, reiterating on others - its an incremental process, try the approach of learning what you need for the immediate task. Graphene let's you use the standard play store, just sandboxed.
When youre more comfortable and have time, maybe self host with Nextcloud.
Im pretty happy with Nextcloud for my scheduling and hosting files, but renting a vps at $12/Month is kind of annoying because the CPU I'm renting is lacking. At some point maybe I'll start self hosting nextcloud for better performance.
