There are huge rocks like this one. At first, I thought this was a concrete block from a washed-out structure. However, @Raven pointed out the layers of quartz between the cracks. Later I climbed a boulder that was the same medium. It's quite amazing to think of how this large compososite material formed. The individual rocks within are all sheared at the surface. Maybe a sign of glacial activity in its history.
