When nostr clients come stock with bitcoin only payment methods & doesn’t allows different ways to zap/tip it is a bitcoin echo chamber.

Bitcoin is still niche, Nostr will be too if it only revolves around the use of bitcoin. nostr:note1uga95yqcgrh9yn4q3s7w2zl54jp9qhl4w2z9dqnafxm7llwjpacsumn0na

I wish i could zap the next rugged shitcoin that emptys peoples wallets

😂

What you want is Twitter, then. 🤷‍♂️

Good times

🫶

Wakefield and Holdens

🤔

Too

Da fuck?

I can’t tip or Zap any different on there either.

This isn’t giving you a choice of how you want to make a payment either so what’s your point?

Sure you can. Twitter has a tipping feature integrated with multiple payment services such as Venmo and Cashapp.

Keep promoting centralized kyc products.

Maybe I misunderstood what you’re saying here then. What other payment services do you recommend besides bitcoin would you recommend be integrated with Nostr?

Any non kyc payment methods.

Why are we locked into btc?

I totally get not everyone wants alts here but it would be nice to be able choose what we can use other then being locked down to one protocol for transactions?

No one’s stoping you from only accepting btc.

Nothing is stopping anyone from integrating any other payment method into nostr. It’s an open protocol. It’s not locked in at all to bitcoin only. Someone simply needs to code the spec for their preferred service and build clients that support it.

I understand this and that’s why I’m asking why we don’t have this option yet?

Directly relates to my original statement that bitcoin is still niche.

Who is “we”? The people that want that need to build that and make it work and create demand for it.

We = nostr userbase

There is no singular user base. Just like the internet. The options are wide open. The people that that need to create it and use it. If it hasn’t been built and isn’t being used, then there aren’t enough people who want it or they aren’t building it.
