better question why is https://nostrapps.com controlled by a single point of failure??

this doesn’t seem very decentralized

it’s literally the go-to for finding apps in our ecosystem nostr:note16w3stvwm0qzmkczmjaa4r8eqt2sy4rssugah7p84vz5ln5t3nu2q3flsk2

Heh... Just wait until you learn only fiatjaf owns the primary github account...

what if he’s here today n gone tomorrow?

that's not true, even if it were it wouldn't matter, the nips repo is FAR less important than people think

It's much more important and a hindrance to innovation, as well as basically forcing us all to use GitHub.

why is it the nips repo a hindrance to innovation?

Because it gives the repo managers an easy way to diss other people's projects and demoralize new builders.

the nips repo matters for documentation. if half the nips dont merge, that sucks for discoverability. youre saying they dont matter in one sense, but you gotta think of the countless devs ive sent a nip draft spec they cant find.

Just publish it somewhere else? I don’t even publish all my nips there

if it bothered me enough, i would 😁 maintainership is a lotta work. maybe someone will someday ⚑

why? you can literally just publish it as a wiki event; it doesn't need to be a piece of a bigger thing
