If they were so confident that nobody is interested in voting for her they would have let her on the ballot.

It's precisely that they feared the opposite that they ousted her.

Still doesn’t make it a disgrace

If they did it to Catherine Connolly I’d be delighted

I was watching an interview with Steen recently where she rejected the idea of her "lateness" having contributed to her failing to make the ballot:

"I wasn't that late compared to the other candidates, Catherine Connolly declared in mid July, Heather Humphries declared about 10 days before I did, Jim Gavin declared after I did. Garteth Sheridan had been working on this for over a year and he failed to secure a nomination."

"People say that I was late, but if I was earlier, can people tell me which two TD's would have signed for me? Can they tell me the 4 Councils that would have nominated me?"
