No, it would not have. Not at all.

Once the fear has been eliminated, it would be possible to laugh without fear, but laughing does not eliminate fear.

Difference between real and fake fear. Fear based on incoming real pain harm and or terror of death are quite unavoidable without the power of jesus... perchance?

You either feel fear, or you don't.

Calling on the power of Jesus doesn't work either. Believe me, as a child I tried that. I was still in regular/constant states of fear. You could say my prayers were answered decades later, but then you would be blastphemous toward all the work that I put in to find the solution myself.

If you want the answer, the antidote to fear is "confidence". If we break the word down to its roots, we get "with trust/faith". This was a hard lesson for me, as I always had trust issues. Learning to trust myself, (trusting that I would be fine without him) allowed me to no longer fear any of the abuse he had to dish out.

Since then, whenever I experience fear, I look at what lies opposite to it, and recognize my confidence there. Sometimes it takes me a few minutes to recognize and reorient my thoughts regarding confidence in that area, but that's sure quicker than years of trying techniques that lead to dead ends.

Majestic confidence ✨️
