they are survivors, that's for sure, and i watch them every day swarming around the valley in large groups, and i can't quite figure out why they are flying around so much but i gather they are good at turning junk into grease and storing the grease so they can run a long time without feeding

it's not for nothing they are almost universal food animals in most of south and eastern europe for poor people, cheap to feed, and decent quality meat, and for bonus points you can use their poop to make gunpowder or fertilise your garden

Yes pigeon's have a rare ability to turn pure garbage into what's called 'pigeon milk' that they feed to their babies

eek i never heard of that before and i'm horrified

pure garbage is totally the correct label for the food they eat... and they are so aggressive at getting at it...

anyhow, it obviously must be some kind of special enzyme that turns all kinds of carbs into super awesome fats that are good for you

i have a vivid memory of eating pigeon at the age of 4 that sticks with me forever... it was grey and greasy but man it did actually taste really good

the pigeon milk...

i may just upgrade pigeons to my second line of feeding when i get my goat ranch
