I'm sure the chicken manure addition will sway me in a good direction as well.

The biochar will buffer against wild pH swings like a boss. It also acts as a nutrient buffer.

Seriously, that shit is like a battery.

I transplanted a 3 year old pear tree sapling that wasn't doing well directly on top of 35 gallons of char that had been well prepped for a year. Watered it twice through a Texas summer and it was thriving.

I'm thinking of placing some biochar in my first real big hugel bed 👀
