Well you don’t have to delete anything if you don’t want to. One thing to be aware of is you might want to either use a service that commits to keeping a backup or keeping a backup yourself. Most relays drop content after some amount of time.

I hope someday I am well enough to learn about that. Because considering we're basically living in the utterly dystopian 1984-like times, history keeps being re-written.

This is something we really need a solution to.
Social media posts can remain very relevant after a LONG amount of time. Practically forever, in fact.
The solution to this is having a Nostr archive which makes a backup of the whole Nostr ecosystem (by querying relays).
The archive wouldn't even be that large compared to several existing archives.
