Absolute scarcity encourages cooperation; if the opposite were true, we would never "spend" our time with others. True scarcity makes it in everyone's best interest to collectively allocate resources for the whole to avoid the possibility of squandering them in isolation.

That's the moral innovation of #Bitcoin: it allows us to ensure future cooperation ad infinitum.
