I’ve read similar sentiments and it makes me wonder how much this feeling is a sense of self-sovereignty that exists here.

No one can stop us from creating notes, and no one is obliged to read them. Consent is woven into the fabric of the architecture, which hasn’t been the way our commutation tech has worked for some time.

I believe this is why nostr feels similar to the early internet. We are actively choosing to allow the technology to serve individuals. This is something only an actually decentralized system can do.
