Sometimes I open Bluesky, and quickly feel that the vibes are all wrong.

I don’t feel any urge to connect with people there, and I don’t think it’s because of the people. The user experience just doesn’t flow.

Then I close the app and come back here to my happy place.

From day one on Nostr, it felt like making new friends 🫂

Not just using, but being a part of, a new creation.

I didn't even get an invitation, begging for one is already too much to ask.

You’re not missing much 😂

Why do i get the feeling that you are a friend of the nostr’s creator

I haven’t personally met FiatJaf, just provided miscellaneous user feedback once or twice. I barely knew any of the users here when I created my account.

However, one of the nice things about nostr is how responsive the developers are, if you have questions, suggestions, or bug reports.

Lots of projects, lots of builders, and lots of users. Great way to make new friends.

That’s my experience as well. Nostr is the place to be🫂

💯

Chronological vs. algorithm. A subtle yet huge difference.

Abso fucking lutely

Maybe because one is manipulated, and the other is not. Authenticity vs artificiality..🤔

What is blue sky?

It’s another attempt at a decentralized social/communication platform. I don’t know much about how the protocol works, but it’s currently being run/developed by a single company, as I understand it

Ahh

Any platform that necessitates an invite, especially one that claims to be “decentralized” is 🚩 from the get-go.

🎯

Didn’t even sign up, if I want to see a blue sky I go outside

This is the way

I’ve read similar sentiments and it makes me wonder how much this feeling is a sense of self-sovereignty that exists here.

No one can stop us from creating notes, and no one is obliged to read them. Consent is woven into the fabric of the architecture, which hasn’t been the way our commutation tech has worked for some time.

I believe this is why nostr feels similar to the early internet. We are actively choosing to allow the technology to serve individuals. This is something only an actually decentralized system can do.

That’s a spot-on appraisal 🤙
