It’s worse than that. You’re not being presented things in your feed that you’ve looked at it talked about, you’re being subtly influenced way before that to be thinking about those things. This has been exposed many times.

We celebrated our daughters birthday a week early because of an upcoming holiday. On the day of her birthday my wife said she was feeling a bit guilty we were not celebrating it. I said don’t feel guilty it’s a regular school day and we already did celebrate her birthday. During the conversation my laptop was active. Later I switched to YouTube and this video popped up in my feed.
