completely agree. It's bad enough that the government steals money from the proles, but to then "hold it" and not spend it on any public service is even worse.

I don't believe in government as a concept nor reserves of any kind, but I could maybe convinced that a fuel reserve or seed reserve, which could be distributed to the populace in case of emergency, may have a value if one believes that the reserve would actually be distributed (not sold! - remember the proles have ALREADY paid for it) in the case of emergency.

But a reserve of gold, or crypto or anything not of direct value to the proles, is simply stealing. The purpose of these reserves has nothing to do with public safety or any public benefit at all. Wealth reserves are stolen and held to ensure "continuity of government" - no different than Raven Rock or Mt Weather, a benefit to those in power paid for by the proles with no benefit whatsoever to them.
