People are still trying to convince me that portability is a feature. I believe it’s a bug.

I dunno, man. Not saying it’s impossible but I’m skeptical. Are we do believe that with one nefarious hyperlink, an attacker can: Open the Coinbase app, login, determine the balance of the account and execute a withdrawal for that amount, and submit the necessary TFA codes along the way? Not to mention doing so in such a way that the victim can literally “watch” while his Bitcoin “drains away?”

That’s the sort of thing one might see depicted in a Lifetime movie, or in the short-lived TV series “CSI: Cyber.” All that’s missing is the disgruntled white perpetrator, hardworking female victim, and virtuous, black, tech-savvy FBI agent trying to “get to the bottom of this, and put the perpetrator in jail where he belongs.”

Something just doesn’t add up.

Coinbase is an embarrassment.
