Revolut however just did a third degree on me, including face recognition, and I actually have to wait for them to review my account before I can transfer MY money onto a safer place. Ever the more reasons.

I only ever use revolut for travelling or paying p2p. Never had any trouble. What sparked this and what's wrong with Muun?

Nothing wrong with Muun, simple and effective, just moving to Bitbox. I had transferred from Revolut to Muun before with no issues but Revolut went on one this time around ๐Ÿ˜‚ will still use it the same way you do, but won't see me buying a single sat anymore ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ah. As I just said to Mike, I am totally KYC free. I don't trust any of the exchanges.

Rightfully so ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

You did ๐Ÿ˜‚

When I was little

Iโ€™ve had trouble with Revolut especially in the โ€œCryptoโ€ part.

If you stick to small numbers theyโ€™re fine. I tried to buy a chunk of Bitcoin with my wifeโ€™s pension payout.

It all went horribly wrong ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

I ended up buying it all on Xapo

Yeah not ideal. It asked me like 10 questions regarding scammers, FCA and other bits. It comes to show they aren't truly concerned they just want you to give up so they keep your money.

I remember CoinCorner insisted I phone them after buying more than ยฃ1,000 of Bitcoin.

They were concerned I was being scammed.

Turned out the call centre guy was not a Bitcoiner and hadnโ€™t read my book.

I orange pilled and sold a copy of my book that day ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ when life gives you lemons...๐Ÿฅค

It comes to something when you have to orange pill the exchange you are buying Bitcoin from ๐Ÿ˜‚

I had a conversation with one of them who asked me why I wanted to move that much. When I said it was none of his business he threatened not to let me. Luckily I'd managed to lightning it off in bits as we were talking. It was the last straw for me

Brilliant. Might come down to that on my end too

That'll help. If you start buying p2p keep your non KYC stack separate from your KYC stuff ๐Ÿ˜˜

Thank you! ๐Ÿฅน

They are trapped in between the fiat system and Bitcoin world.

I still use them to initialise Bolt cards which I give away as Birthday and Christmas presents ๐Ÿ˜‚

I have one of their bolt cards. Never used it. I keep meaning to set it up on my node but...

Bolt cards are a great orange pilling tool ๐Ÿ’œ

Probs, unfortunately lightning isn't as far forward as it should be. Potentially fantastic, practically cumbersome for impatient people and not widely accepted. I'm a fan by the way. I've had my lightning node for 5 years now

Yep, shitcoiners and big blockers have valid arguments ๐Ÿ˜‚

I was a big fan of coincorner but had to leave because of banking regs. I love Danny and Molly but wasn't prepared to keep having to explain why, what and who every time I bought more than a fivers worth. It's what made me totally KYC free

I donโ€™t have that luxury ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

You do if you try hard enough

No, I really donโ€™t.

But thatโ€™s a moot point, because unless we sell the house thatโ€™s the last Bitcoin Iโ€™ll be buying.

Iโ€™m all in ๐Ÿ˜‚

Me too

Selling the house you're saying uh?... ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚

We were going to sell our main home, but objected to the estate agent fees so decided to Airbnb it instead.

Sounds like a win to me ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Hmm haven't yet. The person that introduced me to Bitcoin told me about it briefly, will have a closer look!

You should try it ๐Ÿ‘€
