It's all good though, networks exist, in due time it all grows.
The tough part is the rate at which behaviors replicate though unfortunately.
It takes decades to build long term oriented behaviors, and minutes to destroy it.
Human nature is to resort to the easiest, and most convenient thing unless your brain is quirky like Nostr users that just says lol, no, I'll do it the hard way instead because it might benefit me.
These people have a direct line to almost every npub. None of the rest of us have any line to almost any npub.
That means, if they promote something, everyone will simply assume that it is good and the best option. If they do not promote something, everyone will simply assume that it is bad and the worst option.
Well, I mean people even on Nostr that do a lot of work for Bitcoin/Nostr don't get recognition.
I think the most neglected people are developers, even the most notable ones on here.
The Dev please add feature to Zaps (or whatever monetary mechanism) is low.
Whereas tiktok influencers, and OF girls get a lot of traction.
Who are those people? I recognise the guy who posts all in caps but that’s about it.
I don't really know any of them, to be honest. We've hardly interacted, and they've never shown any interest in anything I'm building or writing. I just see their stuff constantly, in my feed, because they get boosted by so many other npubs.
The more interesting aspect is not that I don't really know them, but that:
1) They all know each other.
2) Primal auto-suggested these people to me in the search field.
Here is the suggestion list, an npub that has never used Primal receives, that doesn't follow any of these npubs, but that does follow other npubs.
