Why is it that Bitcoiners rarely buy yachts, lamb's or luxury clothing?
It's obvious they are "a kind of person".
They sit on a small fortune, but still roam thriftshops and buy second hand automobiles.
I don't think they are cheap skates or averse to spending money. But they simply aren't tempted by luxury or gloating.
If a bitcoiner is a fisher, he will buy a nice quality rod. If a Bitcoiner is a runner, he buys the good shoes. If a Bitcoiner is a gamer, he buys a good laptop.
Then he's proud and happy with that one expensive thing, but the rest of his stuff is normal.
Even the Bitcoiners who run families are indistinguishable from normal, working/middle class families.
No holidays in Cambodia or some far off tropical island. The kids don't wear expensive clothing and they don't have those small electric Hummers.
This behavior, which seems to be a common trade in Bitcoiners, is going to have a massive impact on the planet in a decade or two.
Sociological, economical and political.
Because they are going to be the wealthiest people on the planet... and they do not waste their money. They allocate capital towards things that matter to them and towards nothing else.
It's not because it's their conviction. It's not because it's their believe, their faith or opinion.
It's because this behavior is natural to them. It's a trait they're born with. It's instinctual.
It will be a golden age for humanity. It will be the first time ever that the rich aren't greedy, wasteful or decadent.
For the first time ever, the global money supply will be distributed by humble people, with strong ethical values who actually think before they spend.
A group of people with a deep feeling for community and freedom.
