It is prolly a swarm looking for more permanent place to build comb (most likely). Swarms tend to stay around for 2-3 days or less. They generally do not sting unless seriously disturbed (like with a baseball bat or broom). If they are not too close to your kid’s play area, or pet traffic, let them “bee” until they move on.
