I'd say the hive is swarming mate.

Anyone around you keep bees?

It's a good way to start a new hive.

Apparently the local โ€œbee manโ€ charges $50 for removalโ€ฆ and he starts a new hive with them! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Itโ€™s actually crazy cause my twitter feed today threw up a โ€œCreg Wrongโ€ post about him after a new hive and queen. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Why would he charge you to remove?! A nice accessible colony like that Iโ€™d go out and remove them for free. Itโ€™s the best way to start a new hive.

If you had a home for them you could just scoop them up.

I see it as greed.

I mean come on, heโ€™s getting a free hive!

This is what Iโ€™m hearing from a teacher at a local school that had to get some removed this year.

Iโ€™m told that they will move on when they are ready.

They are in a quiet part of our place, will just leave them ๐Ÿ and monitor. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Yeah they will send out scouts bees and eventually find a new hive. Once they locate a suitable location they will all move to the new hive.

If someone calls me and says they have free bees, Iโ€™d come grab them and bring a jar of honey to thank them.

Lol - what a scam!

It's like charging someone to go to their BBQ, drink their beer & eat their meat.

I could understand paying them if it was in an inconvenient spot like your roof. If it's in your garden & he doesn't want them, I'd just let them bee. ๐Ÿ˜‚

If you donโ€™t do anything with them theyโ€™ll move on by themselves once they find a nice spot to go toโ€ฆ a couple of days max

For me Iโ€™d be collecting them myself and providing them a home ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you Iโ€™ll leave them to it. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

It is prolly a swarm looking for more permanent place to build comb (most likely). Swarms tend to stay around for 2-3 days or less. They generally do not sting unless seriously disturbed (like with a baseball bat or broom). If they are not too close to your kidโ€™s play area, or pet traffic, let them โ€œbeeโ€ until they move on.

And finally after 12 days the bees have moved on. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™‚
