My nocoiner friend thinks that if Bitcoin gets too big the governments will just shut down all internet communication to stop it. He doesn't understand that this would be global economic suicide.

I've heard this argument, too. Makes no sense whatsoever. Also, we don't have one world government, so one government might try while another region embraces orange coin. Either way, bitcoin lives forever.
