Thanks for the info. I'll look it up tonight. I was curious because I bounce between Primal & Iris.to and there seems to be latency between when I post and when I see it on both boards. Also Primal ( my preferred browser) seems sluggish in the mornings. If there is a way that I can eliminate some of that latency at no cost, I'd like to do that. If it helps the network, too, all the better.
Yes, I run a private relay that stores my data on my nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct server, and I believe Maria recently got a nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll server, but https://nostr.net has tutorials to set up relays as well

Are the two clients using all the same relays? Not sure how much it cost to run a hosted relay through a hosting company… you can build your own server and either use UmbrelOS or StartOS for free… that’s what I did, I think it was around $250 to build mine
I don't know what relays they use. I just poked around, and found where relays are listed. No, they do not share the same relays. It looks like the relays can be changed. Can more than one relay be used at a time?
Yeah you want to make sure all your relays are the same between your clients and yes you can have as many relays online as you want, but too many can drain your battery faster on your phone… on my personal npub, I usually have 13 running
