Great question! In simple terms, Zapping is like tipping but with sats. You need a lighting wallet loaded with sats before you can send and receive over the lightning network.
Do you need help setting up a lightning wallet?
It’s a way to tip in the platform. You have to setup a wallet and once that’s done you can “zap” any note you find useful and people can give you a tip / zap as well anytime. It’s built in Lightning and have the currency used to tip it’s bitcoin. Typically people tip between 21 and 60 satoshis ($0,1 to $0,3) per zap.
