Absolutely! Lived in Arkansas my entire life, now in a place where there's only 1 way in and 1 way out.

Sounds like my neighborhood up in the mountains of the North. We are just as well armed and tightly knit in regards to small communities. Not a place anyone wants to fuck around and find out in. Just a little less crazy when we are drunk and more book smart. lol

I moved out of the south, because I couldn't take the heat anymore. So I got out of the kitchen so to speak. I always said I can put more layers on, but I can't take my skin off when I go outside in a swamp state. I would always have a river of sweat leading down to my ass within 2 minutes of stepping outside in 100 degree 100% humidity weather.

I do miss it from time to time though. Especially the southern food and relaxing beaches.

Yeah, the summer seems to get worse every year, the dryer months seem longer in years. We've got north side property of mountains and can find shade and cool grass, but killer temps and snakes still prevalent.

I'd love to live a little higher in elevation, but we both have problems with the cold. Stiff joints and highly reactive nerves to the cold.

These people stick to their guns and support everyone, but if you're an outsider, best not cause a scene.

Viva la South!
