Bitcoin is going to have a hard time replacing gold in art, music, and poetry. I think about that probably much more than is warranted 🥲

It will take time for our lexicon to change. Golden hour, good as gold, gold medals. It's value has been enshrined in our society for 5000 yrs it will take time. Even how our lending is measured, will have to move to the time chain of Bitcoin.
True, that will be well beyond my lifetime. And gold won't just disappear, moving more towards a value more matched with its utility. It's still pretty & shiny, which seems to be an instinctual attraction, so long term I think it'll still hold its place in the arts.
