they're never straightforward and often symbolic. carl jung believed that dreams compensate for imbalances in the conscious mind. they highlight the neglected opposite. there are a lot of other theories.

i only know when i have nightmares, they're often when i'm overly anxious or stressed about something.

"never straightforward"

yep, that sums up my dreams lol

they often seem random and i'll sometimes talk in my sleep while dreaming >_<

that's very interesting about nightmares... i've never tried to put that correlation together...

i am glad that they're not straightforward. if a dream is too realistic and mundane, our brains might not be able to distinguish a dream from reality or a memory.

Consider they're also operating at a deeper level than the dream's perceptable level. There is nothing to say that dreams need to make sense, but what can be rationalized can make sense as exhaust from whatever is actually going on.

i agree. i know that they often mean something, especially the recurring ones which i used to get. it was persistent in trying to tell me something. it eventually went away after a couple of years. i never figured out what i was meant to understand.

what if you did unconsciously..?

:P

then i say to my self resolving, self healing unconscious, good job!! haha

meow~! :3

(good job~!)
