What if we proposed to start paying for relays, selling points could include ₿ut not limited to:

different nation-state locations (multiple vectors of attack)

Different views of security

Accountability for a product

Supporting plebs

₿uilding infrastructure for Nostr

I don’t care if no one sees this my content is 99.9% forgettable, but that .1% is the stuff people will dig for, search out, and come back for. It doesn’t matter if the big relays don’t carry my program. I can't be erased for your benefit and mine.

Currently writing to only my paid relays (regardless of size), a couple use-specific relays & relayable.org 😊

Reading from basically the same + a couple big public ones because I was missing a lot when i tried going without 😅

That is a but above my understanding i kinda just connect to a few relays, i pay for ones from individuals i trust. I remember semi put me in the top 20 for account requests on the plebs relay.
