A word of caution when pricing naughty photos:

As my account and several others floating around Nostr can attest, there is no shortage of bare skin to be found on the internet. Quality content featuring naked women abounds, for free, which is why I am happy for whatever zaps I get.

Now, you have a bit different situation, because you are posting original content of yourself, and people are willing to pay for content direct from the source. There's something to be said for seeing someone naked that you can actually interact with, even if it's just online. How much more is that personal feeling worth? Well, that's going to be different for each person.

Now you also have going for you the fact that you are incredibly attractive. So there's certainly a premium you can add for that. 😉

However, most people here also put a premium value on their sats. Yeah, it may be just a couple cuck-bucks now, but most assume that 6900 sats is going to buy them a lot more than $2 will in the not-so-distant future. That means they are less likely to part with that 6900 sats than they would be to part with the "same" value in dollars.

Now, I don't have any data to back this up, but I believe there is likely an ideal price for your type of content. Here's the basis of my theory:

There are a few types of people who consume NSFW content.

The first are those who really crave the personal interaction, and are therefore willing to pay a decent premium for it. However, this group is also the smallest percentage of the whole.

The second type are those who adamantly refuse to pay for anything they can find elsewhere for free. These are the ones who will complain to you that your photos weren't even taken by a professional photographer in a studio, so why should they pay when there is much better quality available for free? Thankfully they are also the minority, though a much more sizeable percentage than the first.

The third and final type are those who aren't interested in the personal interaction so much, though it's a nice bonus, and they just want to see some titties. They are willing to pay if it's cheap enough, but only for the time it saves them going to find similar content elsewhere for free. I believe this describes the vast majority of people who consume NSFW content on the Internet.

I can't tell you how to price your content. Only you can decide how much pictures or videos of yourself are worth to you. What I can tell you is that you should know your target market

If you only want to target those who crave the personal interaction, then you can probably charge more, but that's because you are probably going to have to put in more effort engaging them on a continual basis, even though they are the smallest portion of the addressable market. They will be a time sink, so your prices will need to reflect that.

If you just want to post some nudes for horny dudes to ogle and pay you sats, then you are tapping into the largest addressable market, and you can keep your prices very low, because you will have MANY more willing buyers to make up for it, and you won't have to put in nearly as much time and effort giving them attention.

It also doesn't have to be an either/or. You can try to address both with different content. For instance, you can post a teaser photo with a zapit pay link to a nude, and offer the full set only to VIPs who pay a significant amount more via DM. This gives those who just want to see some titties a means of getting what they want at a price they are more comfortable with, and with minimal effort from you to justify the lower charge, and also gives those who want a more personal approach something special that the average Nostriches isn't getting to see.

That's just my 2 sats worth, though. You do you. You're doing great already, and I am looking forward to seeing more. 😍

I think you are onto something with most people just wanting to see some titties, though, and not being willing to part with so many sats.

I'll put something up for a bit less and see if I get more takers.

Bitcoiners tend to be a bit more knowledgeable about economics than the average joe. lol

You probably also want to start using hashtags to get more exposure.

There are two basic schools of thought on this:

The first says, "Avoid using hashtags that aren't for NSFW content, because people go to those hashtags to see specific content, not get spammed with titties."

The other says, "If you don't want to see titties, you can easily hide the user's posts, and many clients will automatically hide NSFW content for you. If yours doesn't, maybe you should switch or petition the dev to add that feature."

I personally fall somewhere in the middle. I use popular hashtags, but only when posting content that fits. For instance, I often include #grownostr, because the stated purpose of that hashtag is any post that is not Bitcoin related, since Nostr tends to have mostly Bitcoiners talking about Bitcoin. I also will post to #coffeechain, but with content that is coffee related.

If you go to https://nostr.band/?trending=hashtags you can find some popular hashtags you may be able to creatively fit your content into.

It sounds like you are using #Amethyst. That being the case, I would recommend always marking anything you post that is actually NSFW with the Sensitive content flag. It's the little eyeball at the bottom of the screen when you are composing a note. This is a courtesy to those who don't want to see such content and are using a client that supports it. It also gives you the moral footing to be able to tell them to go use a client that does, or get their current client to add it.

There is an active #nsfw hashtag, as well as #boobstr, which it looks like you found, #buttstr, and even one for #egirls. All of them and more would probably be good for promoting your content.

How did it work out so far? I paid for one of the zap-it's to see what it was like. It is better than nothing, but realize the link itself is not paywalled. I expect eventually there'll be tools here for doing it properly.

I've been on boarding a friend of mine here ( nostr:npub149qe3lga9w25p8mrsugggtsfz4zkzk0a5ce8j8fxk64swdz9jmzstmdxxc ) who's been wanting to do stuff like this for awhile. I discouraged her from starting an OF because she's not in a position to put in the kind of work required to be successful there. I got her on BentBox first, but that's a bit of a hustle as well.

Nostr has good potential to work, and it is still early days, so I've been helping her get set up and figure it out.
