Remember anyway the we receive huge amount of cosmic dust mostly made of iron. I would be worried more about aluminium, lead and other elements that do not belong to the surface of the planet or to the sky

Fair point, people also talk of sand dust blowing from as far away as the Sahara, I recall Europe once having orange/red skies from a Saharan dust cloud but many people in the UK are noticing a massive increase of atmospheric pollution on their cars even if only parked up for a day or two.

They weren't large particles, more like dust/fines until the magnet was placed there and started clumping together.
