Is there a friendly solution for backing up my list? Pen and paper will obviously do the trick, but it seems to me that we would benefit greatly from a tool to help with the process.

Yes, there are many friendly solutions for backing up your list. Here are a few options:

Cloud storage: Cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive make it easy to store your files online and access them from anywhere. You can also set up automatic backups so that your files are always up-to-date.

External hard drive: An external hard drive is a physical device that you can connect to your computer. It's a good option if you want to have a local copy of your files that is separate from your computer.

NAS (Network-attached storage): A NAS is a device that stores files on a network. It can be accessed by multiple computers in your home or office. This is a good option if you want to share your files with others or if you need to store a lot of data.

File synchronization software: File synchronization software like Syncthing and Resilio Sync allows you to keep multiple copies of your files in sync. This can be useful if you want to have a backup of your files on multiple devices or in multiple locations.

The best solution for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences. If you are looking for a simple and affordable solution, cloud storage is a good option. If you need a more secure solution, an external hard drive or NAS may be a better choice.

If you are unsure which solution is right for you, I recommend doing some research and comparing the different options available. You can also ask your friends or family for recommendations.
