I get the sentiment. But, we're generally pretty happy with our .gov school. It's a few notches above the average... excellent, even... for the area we're in.

I don't think there's a private institution around me that isn't fundamental-religious, and home-schooling is tough for socialization as I only have one kid.

Ya, parents don't have much choice in the USA. The private schools aren't any better and expensive. The religious schools are looney. Homeschooling is difficult because you need someone to teach the kid and it can get lonely if there's no other kids homeschooling. Most parents are stuck with government schools.

Again.... My kid's public school is excellent.

excellent government schools do not exist

You are wrong. But that's ok. Do you have kids?

Government schools aren’t good just because a few manage to function. They exist on forced taxation, remove choice, are underfunded and political, and push a one-size-fits-all model. That’s not good, that’s control. Many are also standardized. Have you ever tried asking to stop paying government school taxes? You won’t be allowed. You’re forced to pay. And what does it matter whether I have kids or not?

Forcing the state citizens to fund government schools is worng. The government schools were built using theft right from the beginning. They are no good.

So... no kids?

What does it matter if I have kids or not? It doesn't change anything. We are the adults we make decisions for them.

Love you bro. I was young once too.
