I got wrecked by an IED in Iraq and was told: I needed disc replacements, stop deadlifting, stop back squatting. I listened to that shit advice until I started reading Taleb.

Finally said fuck it bought a reverse hyper, began squatting and deadlifting. Beyond occasionally chiro visits, I’m fine. I can pull about 450, which ain’t spectacular, but for an old guy, ain’t terrible.
